Overseas Dahlia Society Activities
Keith Hammett, the well known dahlia expert in New Zealand, has sent in news about a New Dahlia competition being held in Australia. UK societies may wish to hold one at their shows this year.

The Petal Plucking Championship has really lifted the interest level in the community. This is being billed as an international first with all the service clubs, community groups & local/State Government representatives wanting to have an entrant. There will be several heats and the finalists will then be eligible to go into the "Pluck Off" which will determine the "Petal Plucking Champion"
