Show

Admission to the show provides entry to the 300ft x 80ft Horticultural Pavilion. Visitors make a point of coming in to this section of the Show every year and enjoy a quiet and fragrant retreat from the hustle and bustle of the showground.

The Horticultural Marquee is a main feature of the Show and is well-supported by national and local growers, societies, traders and individuals.

Amongst the attractions are stands of vibrant coloured Fuchsias, grown by experts and enthusiasts as well as plants and flowers we all know and love and some you don’t. Visitors get a chance to speak to the members of the Southern Fuchsia and Pelargonium Society and the National Vegetable Society, as well as cacti and succulent specialists with fully hardy and tender succulents and cacti from around the world. Displays of shrubs from the usual to the unusual and hardy grasses and perennials you can grow at home and the British favourite – the magnificent colours and scents of Roses. Alongside the wonderful selection of plants you’ll be stunned by the award winning displays of Chrysanthemum blooms with cuttings available to buy and Dahlias grown by a very enthusiastic grower on his allotments who has been featured recently in BBC’s Gardeners’ World. Visitors can meet the specialists and be inspired and tempted to purchase from their sales tables and ask them questions that have been bugging you all year.
